HMA is qualified to give Stringed & General Music Pedagogy for Fellow Educators if seeking to learn how to teach music or stringed instruments. HMA can also Create Customized Music Curriculums tailored for for your classroom at various paces & Units
You can even hire HMA to come DJ Music for your Homeschooling, School, Church or Organization's needs.
History of HMA
The idea to be a Music Educator had long been on owner and operator, Matthew Hutson's mind since he was a small child.
A dedicated life-long musician, his journey started with his father showing him the ropes in the bluegrass realm. As he learned music, Matthew quickly realized he enjoyed teaching his friends to play with him as much as playing.
After he got some lessons + teaching under his belt with friends, he began teaching private lessons as a teenager to his peers. Matthew's love for Music & Education continued with a BA in Music from E.C.S.U. with concentrations in Music Education & Music Composition with a minor in Jazz Studies.
Once graduated, Matthew became an NC Public Music Educator for 12+ years starting in Wake County before ending up back in Onslow County for 9 years teaching guitar + orchestra at his alma mater, Swansboro HS.
Matthew felt compelled to go full-time with his vision after seeing the need for high quality music lessons in the area through the scope of both a public educator and musician and the lack thereof locally.
One local business that has always supported music for 25+yrs is Swansboro Music Center (where one of HMA studios is located)
Fun facts: Matthew used to take music lessons & bought his first electric EVERYTHING from there.
